I am a Sculpture artist living and working in the beautiful Pioneer Valley region of Massachusetts.  Although I have worked in many mediums I am particularly drawn to clay. The moment I put my hands in clay it was true love; I found in clay the perfect partner, always willing to go where ever I bring it, never tiring of my need to create and desire to learn but challenging enough to keep me engaged. After two decades I am still amazed at how the humblest of materials, earth and water, can transform into such varying forms from functional to fine art, and after hundreds of firings, the night before opening the kiln, I still sparkle with excitement like a little kid on Christmas eve.

Although much of my work reflects my love and respect for Nature, I do find inspiration in many things and will use my art as a way to communicate what is hard to put into words.  Sometimes the subject can be dark so I create work that will tickle the imagination by adding a lightness for the viewer, although, it is mostly for myself.
